The Greatest Loop hits American shores

The Greatest Loop arrived in Annapolis! Earlier this morning she was taken off the cargo and put on a truck for delivery to the yard of Annapolis Yacht Sales, which will be her home base until her official departure on May 15^th.

Over the next few weeks, the Swift Trawler 34 #202 will be preparing for the voyage of a lifetime. The great loop will not put just the boat to the test – her Cummins engine as well (a QSB5.9 312 KW, 425HP).

During these 4 months, we expect The Greatest Loop to travel 6,000 to 6,500 nm, and burn approximately 6,500 gallons of fuel.

The journey has been divided up amongst a dozen captains, both Beneteau dealers and writers from various boating publications whose legs will vary between a few days and a couple of weeks.
