Day 46: Tarpon Springs to St Petersburg, FL (Murray Yacht Sales)

Departed Three Rooker Bar at 6:30 am eastern, and arrived in St. Petersburg at noon to find the dock at Fishtales completely full.

Plan B included launching the dinghy and quietly running the Torqeedo electric outboard from our office on Salt Creek to the restaurant for lunch.

Carried on with an afternoon of cleaning, which ended with new and old friends visiting our : Open house at Murray Yacht Sales 5-7 in St. Petersburg. This city is a great place to end a trip! On our 7 hours cruise we burnt 31 gallons of fuel averaging at 4.42 gal/hr. There are now 385 h on the Cummins engine and 276 h on the Cummins ONAN genset.

Best: Sunrise at Three Rooker Bar

Worst: I thought that dropping the mast to get to the fuel dock would be tough but it was a breeze.

Trip Recap: Overall, me and my team repaired many systems while aboard the boat and left her in better conditions than we found it for the next crew Garth & Sue Hitchens. I very much enjoyed spending time onboard with my family, colleagues and friends. A great opportunity for all of us as we have also been able to make new friends along the way and from what I have seen, already a bunch of people are preparing themselves for this particular voyage and it feels very rewarding to feel the project is really reaching its original goal: get people back into boating. I am very pleased to be part of the team.

Very Best,

Stanton
