Day 22: Mackinac Island to Bay Harbor, MI

After an exhilarating afternoon and evening at Mackinac and a good nights sleep we were ready for our last four hours to Bay Harbor.

According to NOAA weather we were going to get 20 Knots plus wind on the nose heading over to Bay Harbor. We had waves again up to 3.5’ to an occasional 4 footer all the way to the lea of our destination. When we tied up it was noon. The next crew was arriving at 3pm, so we had to hussel. First of course: lunch as I do not do well on an empty stomach.

After washing the boat, doing some laundry, cleaning the interior we ran for the car and beat it to The Traverse City airport to hand over the key to Peter Janssen and George Sass Sr. both on assignment with Power & Motor Yacht Magazine. We wish them well on their segment of the Loop. Bon Voyage!
