Day 2: Rock Hall, MD to Atlantic City, NJ

Underway at 5:50am.

Overcast, light wind.

Stopped for lunch at Cape May at 1pm, refueled at Utsch's Marina, and resumed at 2:15.

Docked at the Golden Nugget Marina in Atlantic City at 5:15pm.

Easy ride through the C&D canal and the Delaware Bay, very little traffic and great condition. Hazy in the Delaware Bay, otherwise, good visibility.

Little rest break for the captain after refueling, needed it badly! Thanks to Wayne and Charlie for their warm welcome. We even got a nice gift from Utsch's Marina, a bottle of their very own cranberry wine!

In the ocean, 3 to 5-feet steady steady ocean swell, right off our beam. Very impressed with the Swift 34 behavior (first time with a Swift Trawler on the ocean), she followed right along with the stability you'd expect of a 40+ footer.

Docked near the "Boardwalk" at the Golden Nugget Marina, where we were welcomed by Clyde. We then ran into a few Beneteau sailboat owners docked near us, gave them a tour of the boat, and shared our stories. Great people!! There's nothing like a Beneteau owner saying how they are "already sold on Beneteau".

Went to dinner with the crew, to one of the restaurants in the casino complex just across the street from the marina. Enjoyed some seafood and even indugled in dessert!

Planning to leave around 6am again for the last part of our leg, hoping to make it into NYC by 5pm.
